For those that like to read here are the last two reports to Mayor and Council concerning the North Langley Truck Route:
This memo goes through where the Truck Route is planned to go and the rationale behind it
2019 10 07 Updated Memo to CouncilThis memo talks about design and costs to implement the exsiting plan:
Truck Route Assess and Functional Design
when is the truck route going to be Changed from Glover Road. why is 216th designated as truck access for Local deliveries only when Glover Road from 88th ave North has a steady stream of trucks daily its past time to deal with this. There is no reason that trucks should be driving through the village of Fort Langley. it’s not safe. not to mention the pollution these large trucks emit .
get it done enough is enough !
We do not want the truck route to exist through 88th Ave between 216th and Glover Rd
There are many children as well as adults that would be in danger on this stretch of road, especially as trucks continue speed going eastbound down the hill.
Please stop this from happening!
Amazing isn’t it – the truck route through Ft Langley has been a major issue with residents since the street blockade in 1999 and successive Councils have not had the ability or willingness to deal with the issue. Perhaps at this point it should be a major talking point for the upcoming election. That will be the opportunity to get a Council capable of dealing with the wishes of the residents.
