Proposed Fort Langley Community Park Changes
Vote for public input on changes to the Fort Langley Community Park was voted down at a recent Council meeting
At the public Township of Langley Council meeting on May 26, 2025, the motion presented by Councillor Martens to consider having public a public information meeting for Fort Langley residents on the preliminary design and plan of the Fort Langley Community Park prior to any further work was defeated 3 – 4 with Councillors Pratt, Baillie, Ferguson and Rindt voting against holding a public information meeting. It was stated there had been consultation with the School District, a youth advisory group and Kwantlen First Nations. Mayor Woodward was not present for this portion of the meeting to avoid perceived or potential conflict of interest.

The FLCA reached out to the Township of Langley asking that the public have an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed changes but have not received a response at this time. An update will be provided once we have more information.
